In life, nothing ever seems to move in a straight line. More than once, I’ve felt as though I’m reliving the same events, as if the cycles of life repeat themselves over and over. When forgotten, they return, demanding attention. Are these cycles something we unconsciously create for ourselves?

The karmic wheel offers an intriguing lens through which to view these patterns. What we send out eventually comes back to us, shaped by the energy and intent we put into the world. Over time, I’ve come to understand that when life repeats itself, it’s not a punishment but an opportunity. Each recurrence provides a chance to change its impact.

It often begins with recognizing the patterns. Through reflection, we start to see the intricate connections between cause and effect. As awareness grows, so does the willingness to change how we respond to these moments. Each time we resist reactivating an old pattern and instead choose to act with greater wisdom or kindness, we alter the cycle of karma. By withholding the emotional fuel that keeps the wheel spinning, its motion slows. Gradually, the spiral shrinks until it no longer controls or defines who we are.

Is there something in your life that keeps happening over and over? Can you recall the chain of events and the feelings they evoke? Do you recognize the pattern? Reflecting on these questions can be transformative. What might happen if you responded differently this time—not out of habit, but with intention and clarity? Could you create a ripple of positive impact that makes the cycle smaller and less significant?
